Six by Nico

Six by Nico – a restaurant that changes its entire menu every 6 weeks. A 6 course tasting menu for £42 and alcoholic / non alcoholic drink pairing for another £30 – really how do they do it?

We needed to find out, so we reserved our seats for the New Yorker Experience; vegetarian for us, regular menu for our friends. This six-course New York menu is currently available in Birmingham only between Monday 8th April and Sunday 19 May, 2024. 

We thought we knew what we were going to eat, but let me tell you, do Six by Nico know how to surprise, entice and even shock their diners! Each course was skilfully executed, a new combination of flavours that expanded the tastebuds of even seasoned foodies and generated excitement for the next dish.

The New York six courses are:
1. New Yorker Slice & Cookie
2. Bacon, Egg & Cheese / Double Yorker (v)
3. Pastrami Sandwich / Little Italy (v)
4. The Everything Bagel
5. “Double Chicken Please” / “Double Cauliflower Please” (v)
Optional Extra. Lobster Roll
6. Lower East Side Apple Pie

Additionally, each drink pairing complimented the flavours of each course; and it was a great way to try new drinks that you normally may hesitate to try.

Six by Nico acknowledges they are not a fine dining establishment. However, if you’re looking for food that pushes culinary boundaries and will introduce you to bold new taste combinations at an affordable price, then trust the chefs at Six by Nico to feed you well.
